The project of Barroco na Bahia has the objective of reviving sacred classical and baroque music in Salvador, Brazil.  The main activities are the concerts on Sundays at the Basilica Cathedral of Salvador, the Barroco na Bahia chamber choir  (with 60 members), the organ at the Basilica Cathedral (2 keyboards, pedal, 19 registers, 1.100 tubes), the production of German operas at the Castro Alves Theater in Salvador (between 1997 and 2005 there have been  9 operas), and the Barroco na Bahia Cultural Center (with many activities, like language courses and social events).
